Preparation for first activation
Before starting the installation, you must first prepare your registration code. This serial number is usually sent to you via email after you complete the software purchase, or it is printed on the card of the physical product. This code must be kept properly as it is the only certificate you use to verify your genuine identity. At the same time, make sure your computer is connected to a stable network, because the entire authorization process needs to be completed online.
It is recommended to go to the official website in advance and use your usual email address to register a user account. This account is extremely critical. It is not only the core of license management, but also the entrance for you to download updates and obtain technical support in the future. Registering in advance can prevent tampering with temporary operations during the installation process.
Login account and bind license
Open the browser and enter the login page of the official website. Enter your registered email address and password to log in to your personal account. If you haven't registered yet, there will usually be an obvious "Create Account" option on the page, and you can quickly complete it by filling in the basic information as prompted.
After logging in, look for "Register Product" or a similar option on the account page. Click in and enter the registration code of the Live software you purchased accurately into the designated field. After the system verifies that there are no errors, the license will be permanently bound to your account and the number of available activations will be displayed.
Download the correct installer
After the license is successfully bound, all software versions that can be downloaded will be listed on the "My Products" page of your account. Please select the corresponding installer to download according to the version you purchased, such as Standard or Suite. Generally speaking, the website will provide the installation files for the latest stable version.
Note that different versions of Live have separate installation programs. For example, if you upgrade from the Intro version to the Suite version, you have to download the Suite installation package instead of overwriting the old version. After installing a new version, older software can be safely uninstalled to save disk space.
Perform installation and online authorization
Execute the downloaded installation program and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. It is recommended to select the default or a hard disk partition with sufficient space for the installation path. The entire process usually only takes a few minutes. The specific time depends on your computer performance and network speed.
After completing the installation and opening the Live software for the first time, the program will detect the network on its own and guide you to complete online authorization. At this time, you have to log in again using the account bound to the license. Manage your activation and user libraries
Each Live license provides two activation opportunities by default. These two activation opportunities allow you to use it on two computers that you frequently use, such as studio desktops and performance laptops. If you want to activate on a third computer, you need to first use the software interface to cancel the authorization on a computer that has been authorized to release the number of times.
When you move to a new computer, don't forget your personal user library located in the computer's Documents folder. It contains presets, samples, and project files that you have defined. If you already have hardware like a Push controller, the serial number is also printed on the back. The registration process for hardware is similar to that for software. You also have to "add product" in the official website account and enter the serial number. After reaching the binding, the hardware can work in depth with your Live software.
