During the software installation, a prompt like "The administrator has blocked you from running this application" suddenly popped up on the screen, which was really depressing. The root cause of this problem is complex and diverse. It may be the security policy built into the system, or it may be the current lack of user account permissions. However, there is no need to worry, there are solutions for both Windows Home and Professional editions.
Create new administrator account
Creating a new administrator account is one of the most straightforward solutions. The principle of this method is to bypass special group policy restrictions that may be imposed on the current user. Since the new account has full administrator rights by default and does not inherit the old policy, it can often run blocked programs smoothly.
When performing operations, you need to open the Windows terminal or command prompt as an administrator, enter the command "net user new username password/add" to create an account, and then use the command "net localgroup administrators new username/add" to raise it to the administrator level. After that, switch users on the start menu to log in.
Modify local group policy
For users of Windows Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Education Edition, you can use the Group Policy Editor to adjust security settings. Local Group Policy is the core tool for controlling computer security rules. By modifying it, you can globally allow specific types of applications to run.
